Choosing between private training and group classes ca n be challenging, and when it comes to fitness, choosing the right training method is crucial to see results. Two of the most popular fitness methods that are offered in many gyms in Amarillo, TX are private training and group classes, and both have their own unique set of benefits. Choosing between private training and group classes usually comes down to one's goals and preferences. But, how do you know which one is the best option for you? In this blog post, we are going to give you a rundown of the private training vs. group classes to help you decide which will help you support your fitness goals. What is Private Personal Training? Private personal training is perfect for people who love one-on-one learning and personalized experiences. With private personal training sessions, you get to work with a certified personal trainer in Amarillo, who trailers your workout plan to your exact fitness needs. Personal trainers provide clients with the proper instruction to perform exercises and monitor their progress. This method is perfect for people looking to meet specific goals, like building more muscle, losing weight, or just improving performance. Many fitness centers in Amarillo, TX offer this highly personalized service. Benefits of Working with a Personal Trainer Personalized Attention When you work with a personal trainer you get the opportunity to have individualized attention. This is perfect for people who like to learn in a one-on-one setting, that you can't usually get with group classes. When working with a certified personal trainer in Amarillo, the trainer is fully dedicated to you and your goals which can help you maximize your results quickly. Whether you’re training at an Amarillo gym or specialized fitness centers in Amarillo, TX, the trainer’s expertise is focused solely on you. Tailored Workouts One of the greatest benefits of working with a personal trainer is that workouts are designed specifically for your goals and needs. With a group class, exercises can be broad and might not fully cover what you're trying to achieve. However personal trainers take the time to understand your goals and create a plan that targets specific needs. This creates a more precise plan that helps clients meet goals much faster. Many Amarillo fitness centers have skilled trainers who specialize in tailored workout plans for a variety of goals. Faster Results Since personal trainers create plans tailored to clients’ goals, they can see results much faster. Certified personal trainers at KT Black Fitness monitor your progress and change workouts as needed, which helps clients avoid plateaus and setbacks. So, since workouts are more effective, progress is seen at a faster rate, which usually doesn't come from group classes. If you're looking for the best gym in Amarillo, TX for fast results, a personal trainer could be the perfect solution Who is Private Personal Training Best For? Private personal training is best for people looking to target specific goals with individualized attention. For people who have injuries or health conditions working with a trainer is a great way to have individualized attention. It is also great for people who want control over their workout plans, which allows for a more flexible workout schedule that maximizes progress. Whether you are training at fitness centers in Amarillo, TX, or local Amarillo gyms, having an Amarillo personal trainer ensures that your needs are met with precision. What are Group Fitness Classes? Group fitness classes are led by expert Amarillo personal trainers in a group setting. Since each group member performs the same exercise, these classes can help motivate people through the energy of their peers. Many group classes at Amarillo fitness centers focus on workouts like cardio, strength, and even dance. The instructor performs the exercise, and the group members follow which can create a motivating environment where many people find fun and a social way to workout. Advantages of Group Fitness Classes Variety of Workouts Group workouts provide clients with a large variety of workouts which can ensure that participants do not get bored. Numerous different classes can provide the workouts you want whether it's dance or cycling. Many people enjoy exploring different workouts and classes which can help keep things interesting. Many Amarillo gyms offer group fitness classes too, which helps make them easily accessible. Motivation from Others One of the big reasons why so many people enjoy group classes is because of the motivation and encouragement they get from other group members. This encouragement can help people push their limits while also fostering a sense of community. Group classes also allow people to build friendships with other members, which can be a great advantage for people looking to make new friends. Affordable Amarillo personal training can be on the pricier side for people, which makes group classes a more affordable choice. Fitness centers in Amarillo, TX offer group classes that provide expert training at a much more accessible cost. So, if you are on a budget, then a group fitness class at an Amarillo gym can be a great option. Who Are Group Fitness Classes Best For? Dear Friends and Partners, As our year comes to a close, Fitness at KT Black want to take a moment to thank you for being part of our journey. Reflecting on all we've shared fills our hearts with warmth and gratitude, and we're excited to share a few highlights from this special year with you. One of our proudest moments this year was hosting the Texas Route 66 Festival Fitness @ KT|Black 5K in June, benefiting Hope Lives Here, a wonderful local non-profit that helps veterans find the companionship of service animals. With over 100 participants and more than 20 sponsors, the event was a true celebration of community and commitment. It was a privilege to see so many people come together to support such a meaningful cause, and we're thankful for everyone who made it a success. This year, we also expanded our connection with the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce , giving us more opportunities to meet, collaborate, and grow with our local business community. Additionally, we participated in the Murph Challenge this Memorial Day, honoring Navy SEAL Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy. This grueling workout, which consists of a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats, and another 1-mile run, allows fitness enthusiasts to test their limits while paying homage to the sacrifices made by service members. It was a powerful reminder of the dedication and resilience that defines both the fitness community and those we honor. We also launched a new Fitness website to make connecting with our clients and team easier than ever. With the addition of our TeamUp scheduling and payment system, this allows you to book services and manage appointments seamlessly—another way we're focused on providing the best service to our clients. Of course, none of this would be possible without our dedicated team members who make every session personal and impactful. Evan Gooding , an accomplished fitness instructor with nearly 15 years of experience, continues to guide clients with his holistic approach, focusing on strength, endurance, and flexibility. Evan, a true hometown hero from Amarillo, has a passion for fitness that's contagious and helps clients reach new levels of wellness. We're also grateful for Logan Koch , a dedicated fitness professional who specializes in women's fitness and post-therapy rehabilitation. Logan's commitment to creating a safe, judgment-free environment makes him a trusted partner for clients of all backgrounds. His focus on physical and mental strength is inspiring, and he brings a unique perspective that has been invaluable to so many. As we look forward to another year, we're filled with anticipation for the new connections and accomplishments to come. From all of us here at KT Black Staffing, we wish you a holiday season full of warmth, joy, and the company of loved ones. Here's to a bright and promising new year! Warmest regards, The Fitness @ KT|Black Team

The new year is approaching, and I'm sure we are all planning out our new fitness resolutions. But time after time, many people notice that their New Year's fitness resolution just never sticks with them by the time February comes. There's no doubt that sticking to a fitness resolution can be challenging, but there are ways you can ensure your goals are met. If you feel stuck with your New Year's fitness resolution always failing, keep reading to learn how to make your fitness plan stick. Be Realistic with Yourself One of the main reasons that many New Year's resolutions fail is because a goal is just not realistic to a person's lifestyle. You may be adding too much to your plan that is making it seem completely unreachable. Instead of making your goal simply just lose weight, make it more specific. Instead of creating such a broad goal, you could narrow it down to something like “I want to lose 15 pounds by April” or something along the lines of that. This way you have a set goal that seems much more reachable than just “I want to lose weight”. Have Someone Hold You Accountable A very effective way to stay on track with your new year's fitness goals is to have someone to keep you motivated and on track. You could come together with your friends and all work toward a fitness goal together. This is a great way to keep yourself motivated and it also makes working out a bit more fun. But if you don't have anyone willing to take on a fitness resolution you could join a fitness class or even a club. For people who like to work with others, this is a great way to make sure you are staying on track. Don't Compare Your Progress to Others Comparing your progress to other people can cause you to feel like your fitness resolution isn't working. This may start to make you feel like it is just time to give up on your plan because it's not working in comparison to other people. Comparing your progress to people online or at the gym can be a very dangerous thing when it comes to motivation. It's important to know that everyone is different, and everyone sees progress at different rates. So, while you are going through your new year's fitness resolution journey, be kind to yourself and know that visible progress can take time. Mix Things Up Many people lose interest in their fitness resolutions because they are just too bland. Doing the same fitness routine every day can become boring and cause you to completely lose all motivation. When your routine starts to feel repetitive, try something new. You could even join a new fitness class that specializes in something you've never done before. Not to mention, engaging in new activities is good for your body and will keep you in the mindset to stay on track with your New Year's resolution. Reward Yourself Rewarding yourself whenever you meet a new goal can greatly increase your overall motivation. You could reward yourself with something small like a pair of shoes you've been wanting for a long time or something else along those lines. You just want to make sure your reward won't set you back. Most people are reward-motivated and if you set a reward for whenever you meet a certain goal, your progress will go a long way! Make Your Resolution a Habit The one thing that you need to make sure you are always doing to keep up with your resolution is staying consistent. Staying consistent with your routine will allow you to make your resolution a long-term daily habit. You could also incorporate more walking and movement into your daily life and less sitting. This is a small habit that can change your progress drastically. You could also use a calendar to keep track of your progress every day, this also will help you turn your resolution into a habit. Doing these things will ensure your success. Meeting your New Year's resolution is tough and can be incredibly discouraging. But it doesn't have to be! Following these tips and tricks will help you stay on track to meeting your goals. Staying consistent with your goals will turn your New Year's resolution into a long-term daily routine that will help you better your lifestyle. Just remember to not allow yourself to get distracted or discouraged by others' progress. So, don't quit your New Year's resolution by February, follow these six tips and make your routine a daily habit!
